Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karlos Vemola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Kashmir. Vemola has chosen The Balfa Brothers - Parlez Nous A Boire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vemola throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
Silva ducks under a wild hook from Vemola.
Silva misses with a head kick.
Silva lands a high kick!
Vemola tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Vemola.
Silva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vemola.
Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Vemola.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Vemola throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Vemola scores with a nice strike.
Silva avoids a kick to the body.
Vemola takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.
Vemola throws a leg kick which misses Silva's front leg but catches the back leg as Silva tries to avoid it.
Vemola connects with a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vemola lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Vemola throws a lazy uppercut
and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Silva misses with an uppercut.
Karlos Vemola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vemola sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vemola throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vemola swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva takes a jab right on the kisser.
Silva scores with a hook to the body. Vemola takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Silva misses the shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Silva throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Vemola looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Silva takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Vemola scores with a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva throws a leg kick
and Vemola counters with a huge left! Silva is in big trouble! He's backing up but Vemola isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Silva from any more damage. A dominating finish by Vemola!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karlos Vemola!
Our winner, Karlos Vemola, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
