The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LaRusso shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
LaRusso throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

LaRusso lands a big uppercut and Banuelos crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Banuelos looks OK. LaRusso waves Banuelos back to his feet!
It looks like Victor Banuelos has been cut.

LaRusso lands a big head kick that sends Banuelos tumbling to the mat! LaRusso takes a step backwards and waves Banuelos back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Banuelos throws a chopping leg kick but LaRusso manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as LaRusso takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

LaRusso will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Banuelos up against the cage.

Banuelos's jab looks to have found its range, popping LaRusso under the eye.
Banuelos moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That kick from LaRusso tenderised Banuelos's leg. Banuelos is trying to keep his angry face on.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

LaRusso lands a brutal head kick. Banuelos looks out on his feet and LaRusso throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

After winning the bout, Johnny LaRusso thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
