Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klas Ondahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe comes to the cage accompanied by How could I just kill a man. John Doe could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Klas Ondahl's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 2, fighting out of New York, Klas Ondahl!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Doe instigates a clinch.
Doe is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ondahl is defending well.
Doe manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Doe drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ondahl pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ondahl throws the left hand but Doe avoids the punch easily.
Ondahl takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ondahl closes the distance and clinches up with Doe, looking for a takedown. Ondahl pushes Doe against the cage but Doe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Doe lands a nice shot to the body.

Doe tries a head kick but it misses.
Doe swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Doe tries to sprawl but Ondahl drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ondahl not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ondahl landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Doe keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ondahl has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ondahl is stalling here. Doe is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ondahl seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Doe has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Ondahl is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Doe off and has taken his back!
Doe has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Ondahl.

Ondahl throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Ondahl thows a strike but Doe uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Doe as he ends up in Ondahl 's guard!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ondahl throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Doe escapes and throws Ondahl's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Ondahl tries to buck Doe off but Doe is having none of it.
Doe trying to control the action but Ondahl is working from the bottom.
Ondahl can't do much from the bottom here.

and Doe counters with a lovely straight right hand!
John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klas Ondahl.

Doe has managed to clinch.
Come on Doe - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Ondahl takes an elbow to the temple.
Doe looking to throw knees to the head but Ondahl is blocking nicely.

Doe tries to work over Ondahl's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Still in the clinch, Doe scores with a nice short uppercut.
Ondahl fails to pull guard.
Ondahl tries to pull guard but Doe forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ondahl is trying to pull guard but Doe turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Doe has Ondahl pressed against the cage.
Doe lands a hook that snaps the head of Ondahl backwards.
Doe is struggling to control the position.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Doe takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Doe lands with a left to the head.
Ondahl jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Doe walks away with a smile on his face. Ondahl gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Doe stuffs the takedown.
Doe takes a swing at Ondahl's ribcage but misses.
Ondahl tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Doe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Doe instigates a clinch.
Ondahl is trying to pull guard but Doe turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Ondahl takes a shot to the head.

Doe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ondahl shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Doe changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ondahl moves in looking to clinch but Doe pushes him off.
Doe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ondahl tries to clinch but Doe is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Doe drives through and clinches with Ondahl against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Doe lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Doe dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Ondahl shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ondahl showed some decent athleticism there.
Ondahl is thwarting Doe's attempts to control the position.

Ondahl has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doe is working away from the top position though.

Doe seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Doe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ondahl does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ondahl wants to control but Doe is keeping busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ondahl shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Doe pinned against the cage. Doe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Klas Ondahl.
I think Ondahl has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
