The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza throws a series of punches but King avoids them all with ease.

Souza shoots in and gets a takedown into King's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Souza trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Souza.
King utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Souza advances to half guard.
Souza thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Souza decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
King misses with a double jab.

King can't keep his opponent in guard - Souza advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Souza is looking for a kimura but King is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Souza to get the leverage.
Souza wants to take a breather but King is having none of it.

Souza has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can King defend it? Souza steps over the head and cranks it - King is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Souza!
