The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Connor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Connor is looking to clinch but Whitecoat is avoiding it.
Connor throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Whitecoat blocks a jab.
Connor misses with a hook. Whitecoat ducked under it nicely.
Connor tries to clinch but Whitecoat is having none of it.
Whitecoat moves into range and connects with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Whitecoat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Connor was well out of range. Poor timing from Whitecoat.

Connor scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Connor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Whitecoat pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Whitecoat misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Whitecoat is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Connor can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Whitecoat postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Connor in real trouble here! The ref calls for Connor to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
