Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Volk Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aaron Witt!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Volk Khan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Witt attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Khan feints and as Witt raises his hands in defense, Khan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Witt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Khan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Khan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Witt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khan has managed to get both his arms back between Witt's legs - danger averted.

Witt is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Khan defends well.

Witt wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Witt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Khan manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Witt with shots to the head and body - Khan looks very uncomfortable down there.

BOOM! Witt connects with a massive shot to the dome!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Witt pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Witt postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Khan looks a forlorn figure.

Witt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Witt is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Witt uses his free foot to push down on Khan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Khan.
The referee warns Khan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Witt dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Khan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Witt scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Witt connects with a nice short shot to Khan's temple.
Khan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Witt's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Witt's back!

Khan is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Witt knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Witt for a finish.
Witt tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Khan is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Witt has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Witt!

Witt stands and throws Khan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Witt creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Khan tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Witt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Witt is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Witt lands a nice shot to the head.
Khan tries to reverse the position but Witt maintains control.
Witt looking to control and managing it successfully.

Witt cracks Khan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
