Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jahan Drey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xerxes Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drey takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Drey tries a head kick but it misses.
Drey takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Drey is breathing heavily.
Alves throws a series of punches but Drey moves out of range.
Drey blocks a jab.
Alves uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Drey has time to react.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alves cracks Drey with an open hand slap.

It looks like Jahan Drey has been cut.
Alves connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Drey momentarily.
Alves throws a shot from downtown. Drey moves away and avoids it.
Alves connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Alves lands a jab to the nose.
A bone on bone clash there as Alves blocks the leg kick.

Alves drops Drey with a big left hand and mounts him. Drey is in big trouble!

Drey tries to control the position but Alves now has his back.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Alves and Drey goes tumbling to the canvas! Alves follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Alves creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Drey's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Drey drops to his knees and Alves pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
