PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edmund Dorrance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albern Kaur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dorrance's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Thou Shalt Always Kill. Kaur has chosen Bitter Sweet Symphony as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Albern Kaur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Edmund Dorrance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Albern Kaur!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kaur is defended easily by Dorrance.
A decent looking cross lands there for Dorrance.
Dorrance jabs at Kaur's body.

Kaur throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dorrance was covering up waiting for the punch and Kaur finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kaur throws a big right hand that misses.
Kaur postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kaur drops back looking for a leg! Dorrance is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dorrance manages to kick Kaur off! Kaur jumps back into Dorrance's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kaur sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dorrance's guard.

Nice takedown defense from Dorrance. No joy for Kaur on that attempt.
Dorrance tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kaur was well out of range. Poor timing from Dorrance.
Horrible takedown by Kaur or perhaps it was just good defense by Dorrance which made him look bad.

Kaur shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dorrance napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kaur wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dorrance, who protects the arm well.

Kaur is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dorrance knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dorrance takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Albern Kaur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Dorrance tries to bum rush Kaur with a series of wild strikes but Kaur uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dorrance throws a nice looking combination but Kaur bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
