Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perry Straps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Braga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braga has his takedown stuffed

and Straps counters with a single leg into guard. Braga didn't expect that.

Braga can't keep his opponent in guard - Straps advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Straps could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Straps lands a nice short elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Straps is pressing down on Braga's thigh, looking to free his foot. Braga is holding on for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Straps is nestled in close to Braga, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Straps looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Braga with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Straps is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Braga doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Straps.

Straps decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Braga slaps away a takedown attempt from Straps, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Braga misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Braga.

Braga shoots in but no luck this time.

Braga shoots in for a takedown but Straps shows good takedown defense.
Perry Straps has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitri Braga.

Braga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like Braga is going to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Straps wants to control but Braga is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Straps is trying hard to land a takedown here. Braga sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Braga jabs Straps to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Straps will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Braga moves in looking to clinch but Straps pushes him off.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Straps enables Braga to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Straps manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Straps stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Braga swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Straps pushes down on Braga's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Braga is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Straps scores with a couple of nice shots.
Braga is in trouble now - Straps has advanced to mount!

Braga tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Straps is landing with some decent strikes but Braga is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Straps lands a big shot there that rocks Braga but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Straps seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Braga for as long as he can get away with.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Braga throws a series of punches but Straps moves out of range.
Braga dives in and grabs Straps's left leg, looking for a takedown. Straps pushes down on Braga's head and hops out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Braga is defended easily by Straps.
Braga tries to clinch up but Straps circles away and keeps his distance.
Perry Straps is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Straps bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Straps is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Braga will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Braga takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Straps decides to stand up, so the ref orders Braga to his feet.

Straps leaves Braga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Straps manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Braga on his heels. He'll look to pass Braga's guard now, I'm sure.
Braga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Straps. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Perry Straps decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
