The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aanenson dives in and grabs Phoenix 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Phoenix pushes down on Aanenson's head and hops out.

and Phoenix counters with a three punch combo that has Aanenson backing up. Aanenson nods at Phoenix to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sven Aanenson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Phoenix fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Aanenson on the side of the head.
Phoenix lands a glancing blow to the side of Aanenson's head.
Phoenix wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Phoenix misses with a series of wild punches.
Aanenson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Phoenix scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Phoenix connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Phoenix swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Aanenson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Aanenson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phoenix swivels and escapes.
Phoenix throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Aanenson takes one to the chin there.

Phoenix has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Aanenson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Phoenix throws a monster overhand right that drops Aanenson! Phoenix follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
