Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tanla Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Casados (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanla Singh has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tanla Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Javier Casados!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casados throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Singh's waist but Singh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Casados off to one side.
Casados scores with a kick to the midsection.
Casados swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Casados looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Casados will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tanla Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Javier Casados.

so Casados counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Casados is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Singh is just riding it out for now. Casados eventually gives up the hold.

Casados is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Singh defends it well.

Singh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Casados on the ground.

Casados swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Singh is now in Casados's guard. A big mistake from Casados there, giving up the dominant position!
Singh wants to get up but he can't break Casados's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Casados working for a triangle but Singh defends it easily.

Casados escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Singh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Casados pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Singh leaves Casados with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Casados will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Singh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Casados.
Casados throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Casados shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Singh but Singh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Casados is breathing heavily.

and Singh counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Singh defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Casados.
Tanla Singh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A thudding body kick lands there by Singh!
Singh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Singh misses with a head kick.
Singh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Casados circles away quickly and effectively.
Javier Casados seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Casados on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Singh. Singh obviously looking to wear him down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Singh gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Singh manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Casados manages to get himself to full guard.

Casados is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Singh is aware though and is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Casados has an active guard here but Singh has managed to pass into half guard.
Singh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Casados keeps working.

Singh decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Casados bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Casados tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Casados has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Casados working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tanla Singh will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


A jab from Singh misses.

Casados throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Singh tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Casados is in Singh's guard.

Casados wants to pass the guard but Singh is keeping the position.

Casados postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Singh is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Casados, into his guard.
Singh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Singh controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tanla Singh.
Singh moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Singh scores with a jab to the body.
Casados fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Singh avoids it really well and circles away.
Tanla Singh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Casados counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Singh's guard now.
Casados throws a strike but Singh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Casados looking to hit a scissor sweep but Singh is one step ahead there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Casados is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Casados isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Singh stacks Casados on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Singh!
Casados tries to buck Singh off but Singh is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Singh tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Javier Casados.
I think Casados has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
