Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Montros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Avalon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montros comes to the cage accompanied by Going Under - Evanescence. Avalon has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montros uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Avalon.
Avalon throws a hook but Montros blocks it.
Avalon misses with a hook. Montros ducked under it nicely.

Montros works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Avalon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Montros is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Avalon's half guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Montros cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Montros is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Avalon to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Avalon shrugs it off.
The referee warns Avalon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Montros lands a big elbow - Avalon is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Avalon is forced to tap out!
