Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Schmidt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Texans Kane!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt swinging wildly here.
Kane looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Schmidt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kane gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Kane tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Schmidt is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Kane buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Kane!! Kane is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Schmidt throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Schmidt!
After the fight, Michael Schmidt was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
