Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cory Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cory Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Watts!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Wallace.

Wallace shoots in and bounces Watts off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Watts is looking for a triangle but Wallace pushes his legs off easily.
Wallace has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Wallace wants to pass the guard but Watts is keeping the position.

Watts has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wallace can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Watts is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Watts looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Wallace gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Wallace closes the distance and clinches up with Watts, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes Watts against the cage but Watts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cory Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Watts swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Wallace counters with a single leg into guard. Watts didn't expect that.

Wallace is looking to work some ground and pound but Watts has wrist control.
Wallace landing some decent shots from guard.
Watts wants to sweep here but Wallace controlling him for the moment.
Wallace stands and throws Watts's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wallace lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Watts down.
Wallace trying to control the position but Watts is working away.
Watts tries to improve position but can't.
Watts is trying to escape the position but Wallace is controlling the position.
Watts is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wallace throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Wallace wants to stand but Watts is controlling his arm.
Wallace throws a strike aimed at the side of Watts's head but Watts avoids it well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wallace misses with a series of wild punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wallace darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Watts makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Watts.

Watts looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wallace passes into side control.
Watts manages to get back to half guard.
Watts is trying to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Watts looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Watts wants to improve his position but Wallace is controlling well.
Wallace lands with a punch from half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Watts looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watts tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Wallace has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Watts slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cory Wallace dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Watts closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Watts has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wallace is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Watts yanks on the arm and Wallace is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Watts.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ken Watts!
