Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curt Warburton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warburton has chosen Manowar Die For Metal as his entrance music. The key to victory for Derrick Rose has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warburton fails with a takedown attempt.
Rose lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Warburton looks to score with a jab to the body but Rose is just out of range.

Warburton closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rose did well to prevent Warburton getting side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Rose is looking to escape.
Rose on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rose tries to get out of the position.
Warburton thows a huge punch but Rose dodges it nicely.

Rose kicks Warburton off and gets back to his feet.
Rose lands a body shot.
Warburton shoots in for a double leg but Rose sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rose thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Warburton if he has to take too many more of those.
Rose throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rose jabs Warburton to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rose tries to close the distance and clinch up but Warburton swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A head kick misses from Rose.
Rose lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Rose really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Warburton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rose wants to clinch up but Warburton keeps it at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Warburton shoots in looking for a takedown but Rose manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Warburton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Derrick Rose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curt Warburton.
Rose moves in looking to clinch but Warburton pushes him off.
Rose scores with a sloppy right hand. Warburton should have avoided that one.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Rose.
Rose throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Warburton's head.
Warburton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rose sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Warburton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rose tries to avoid it but Warburton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rose to the ground. Rose escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Warburton is still on wobbly legs! Can Rose finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rose looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Rose backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Warburton's temple! It sends Warburton violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Rose celebrates and the doctors try to help Warburton!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Derrick Rose!
Derrick Rose spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
