Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keio Jun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshiro Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keio Jun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yoshiro Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jun.
Jun chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jun lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gomi backs up against the cage.
Gomi shoots for a takedown but Jun saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jun slaps away a takedown attempt from Gomi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yoshiro Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomi tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jun counters with a nice uppercut.

Keio Jun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshiro Gomi.

Jun walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gomi checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Gomi looks to land a left hand but Jun moved out of range nicely.

Gomi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jun moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gomi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jun stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jun wants it to stay on the feet.
Jun connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gomi fails with the takedown
and Jun counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Jun throws a chopping leg kick but Gomi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Jun lands with a kick to the temple. Gomi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Jun counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gomi's knee momentarily.
Jun keeps the fight on the outside.
Gomi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jun sprawls well. Jun wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gomi gets slowly back to his feet.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jun - that will leave a mark!
Good leg kick by Jun there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jun takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jun lands a head kick. Gomi smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jun throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jun scores with a jab. Gomi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jun lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Jun lands with a hook. Gomi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Gomi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gomi moves out of range as Jun throws a body kick.

Gomi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jun is fending him off so far but Gomi persists. Nope, Jun circles away and we're back to standing.

Jun looks to land a right hand but Gomi moved out of range.

Jun closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gomi did well to prevent Jun getting side control.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Well, if Jun is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Keio Jun wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Gomi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jun is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Jun takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Gomi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jun keeps working.
Gomi with the ground and pound but Jun regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Jun tries to kick Gomi off in order to stand up. Gomi Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Gomi takes a little break here. Jun wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Jun regains half guard, as Gomi was trying to land strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gomi throwing shots but Jun is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keio Jun dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Yoshiro Gomi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Gomi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jun swings wildly with an uppercut but Gomi uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jun is leaning against Gomi and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Gomi is breathing heavily.

Jun breaks from the clinch.
Jun throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gomi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That kick from Jun tenderised Gomi's leg. Gomi is trying to keep his angry face on.

Jun shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gomi eats them both and turns towards Jun to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Jun swings for the body but Gomi moves out of range.

Jun rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gomi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jun fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gomi.

Jun looks to land a combination. Gomi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The fighters circle momentarily. Jun darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Jun lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gomi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jun to score with a decent uppercut.
Gomi walks into a jab.
Gomi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jun dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gomi. That did some damage!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jun scores with a head kick. Gomi tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Gomi takes a swing at Jun's ribcage but misses.
Jun fakes the leg kick and cracks Gomi in the body.
Jun lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jun throws a body punch but Gomi moves out of range.

Jun scores with a shot to the body.
Jun thuds a left hand into Gomi's body.
Gomi moves forwards but Jun connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jun misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gomi.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jun, as that shot connected.
Gomi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gomi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jun swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gomi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jun lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Gomi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Gomi.

Keio Jun showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jun, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
