Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takuma Uchida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uchida has chosen Pride as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uchida leaves Dux with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Uchida counters with a head kick. That will keep Dux thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Dux shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Dux is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Uchida has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Uchida!
Uchida passes Dux's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Uchida seems content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Uchida must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Uchida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dux swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Uchida throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Uchida counters with a body kick that stops Dux in his tracks momentarily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good leg kick by Uchida there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Oh Dux is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Uchida swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Uchida lands a brutal head kick. Dux looks out on his feet and Uchida throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
