Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Soendergaard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Fugelsang is looking to reverse the position.
Soendergaard is working Fugelsang over with some ground and pound from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soendergaard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fugelsang knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Fugelsang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Soendergaard on the ground.

Fugelsang pushes Soendergaard away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Soendergaard gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
