Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven McTowlie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris comes into the arena with Kiss Me I'm Shit Faced blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshall Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven McTowlie!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Harris looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Harris is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McTowlie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Harris tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Harris is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McTowlie has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Harris working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Harris is trying to get an arm triangle but McTowlie is defending well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Harris is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McTowlie has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harris tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harris has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Harris is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McTowlie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Harris wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McTowlie, who protects the arm well.

Harris tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harris has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McTowlie is pushing Harris's head away, looking to escape. Harris manages to hold on to the position though.

Harris swings around for an armbar but McTowlie sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Harris's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris wants to stand and escape but McTowlie is having none of it.

McTowlie has gone for a leg lock! Harris slips out almost immediately though and dives into McTowlie's guard.
McTowlie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harris tries to free his leg and advance position but McTowlie is retaining full guard.

Harris drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McTowlie dives on top into guard.

McTowlie gets to his feet - Harris follows without any prompting.
Harris slips a jab from McTowlie.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McTowlie throws a predictable looking body shot
and Harris counters with a good low kick that McTowlie was not able to check.

Harris shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Harris showed some decent athleticism there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marshall Harris dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


McTowlie throws a head kick but Harris moves out of range.
Harris uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McTowlie.
A punch combination from McTowlie misses.
McTowlie throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Harris counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McTowlie's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Harris has hold of McTowlie's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McTowlie seems comfortable defending it but Harris has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McTowlie is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McTowlie is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Harris couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marshall Harris!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Marshall Harris waved his t-shirt featuring SPARTA FIGHTWARE-GTI's logo in front of the cameras.
