The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoehne shoots in and drives through. Diaz sprawls well.

Diaz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hoehne to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Diaz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hoehne sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Diaz's guard.
Diaz wants to get back to his feet.

Hoehne closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diaz circles away.
Nathan Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emere Hoehne.
Diaz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hoehne shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diaz as he jumps to the side.
Hoehne uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Diaz.

Diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Diaz showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hoehne looking for a triangle here. Diaz is fighting it but it looks tight! Hoehne pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Diaz is tapping out - this one is all over!
