Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Devon James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Apache Mankiller!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mankiller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mankiller lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mankiller lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A swing and a miss from James.
James lands a two punch combo.
Mankiller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice cross by James.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James closes the distance and clinches up with Mankiller, looking for a takedown. James pushes Mankiller against the cage but Mankiller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
James circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mankiller throws a head kick but James moves out of range.
Mankiller misses with a double jab.
James throws a one two combo.


Mankiller is rocked!
Apache Mankiller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James throws out a loose jab but Mankiller uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mankiller's head backwards.
Mankiller is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him?
James drops his hands momentarily and Mankiller takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mankiller seems to have recovered his senses.

James closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

James looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

James is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mankiller has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mankiller managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by James.
Mankiller is looking for a sweep.

James looks up at the clock and then as Mankiller takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, James smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mankiller struggling a bit here.
James connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mankiller some visible discomfort.
James cracks Mankiller with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Check out the look on James's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

James is trying to ground and pound but Mankiller uses the momentary lack of control by James to regain half guard.
Mankiller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mankiller is looking for a sweep. James is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with James in particular looking to stall.
James wants to free his trapped foot but Mankiller is holding on for dear life with his legs.

James is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
James wants to pass to mount but Mankiller is defending the position.

James is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
James seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Mankiller is looking to control James's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mankiller avoid being mounted?
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mankiller is trying to get back to full guard.

James throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mankiller tries to land a front kick but James steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
James works the jab nicely.
Mankiller lands a lovely overhand right.
Mankiller throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
James lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Devon James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mankiller throws an ugly left hook that misses
and James counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Mankiller to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by James!
