Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thord Grimhildr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kris Vecetti!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vecetti misses with a takedown attempt - Grimhildr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Grimhildr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Grimhildr fails to land the takedown.

Vecetti closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Grimhildr quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vecetti prevents Grimhildr from standing back up.

Vecetti stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Grimhildr to get to his feet.
Grimhildr pivots, looking for a leg kick but Vecetti is out of range and Grimhildr settles back down.
Thord Grimhildr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vecetti connects with an inside leg kick.
Grimhildr blocks the body kick.
Vecetti throws a looping overhand right but Grimhildr ducks down to avoid it.
Vecetti uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Grimhildr.

Grimhildr digs a good hook to Vecetti's body.
Vecetti misses with a looping left.
Vecetti misses with a leg kick.
Vecetti misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vecetti shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Grimhildr cracks Vecetti with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Grimhildr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vecetti throws out the jab.
A swing and a miss from Grimhildr.

and Grimhildr counters with a three punch combo that has Vecetti backing up. Vecetti nods at Grimhildr to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vecetti sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Vecetti looks winded!

Grimhildr connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Grimhildr throws out a powerful jab.
Grimhildr misses with a double jab.
Vecetti takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Vecetti is rocked!
Grimhildr cracks Vecetti with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Vecetti tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Grimhildr pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Vecetti is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thord Grimhildr!
A relieved looking Thord Grimhildr thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
