Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rainier Wolfcastle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Cage!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cage looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Cage is looking to work some ground and pound but Wolfcastle has wrist control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wolfcastle is on top in guard.
Wolfcastle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cage is proving hard to escape from.
Wolfcastle trying to control but Cage is working from the bottom.
Cage will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cage is pulling down on Wolfcastle's head to control his posture.
Cage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cage wants to stand and escape but Wolfcastle is having none of it.

Cage is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wolfcastle on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wolfcastle tries to get out of the position.
Cage throws an elbow that misses. Wolfcastle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cage's guard. Nice move by Wolfcastle!
Wolfcastle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wolfcastle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wolfcastle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Wolfcastle lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Cage has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wolfcastle after a bit of a struggle.
Wolfcastle has a couple of punches blocked by Cage.
Wolfcastle lands with a short shot to the head.
Wolfcastle can't find room to land a body shot as Cage controls the action.
Wolfcastle wants to stall.
Cage is trying to drag Wolfcastle to the mat but Wolfcastle just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Wolfcastle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Wolfcastle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wolfcastle wants to control from the top but Cage keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rainier Wolfcastle.
Cage staying out of range there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters circle momentarily. Wolfcastle darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


It looks like Jack Cage has been cut.
Jack Cage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wolfcastle loads up on a big right hand but Cage slips the punch.

Cage uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wolfcastle.

and Wolfcastle takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rainier Wolfcastle is winning the standup battle so far.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A looping hook to the body misses from Wolfcastle. Cage does a little dance to reset his feet.

Wolfcastle cracks Cage with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cage looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Wolfcastle finish him?

Wolfcastle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cage.
Wolfcastle throws a left and a right that both miss

and Cage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cage.
Cage throwing strikes from guard but Wolfcastle blocks nicely.
Wolfcastle wants to sweep but no luck.
Cage trying to control but Wolfcastle is working from the bottom.

Wolfcastle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wolfcastle's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Wolfcastle just misses with a punch to the body.
Rainier Wolfcastle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wolfcastle takes a swing at Cage's ribcage but misses.

Cage tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wolfcastle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cage somewhat.
Cage looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Wolfcastle lands a big uppercut and Cage crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cage looks OK. Wolfcastle waves Cage back to his feet!
Wolfcastle throws a hook but Cage blocks it.
Wolfcastle drops Cage with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Cage! Wolfcastle dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
