Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cote's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Im sexy and I know it. Ryan Barnett is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cote's waist but Cote gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barnett off to one side.

and Barnett counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cote's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barnett drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barnett jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Horrible takedown by Barnett or perhaps it was just good defense by Cote which made him look bad.
