Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mix throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cruise's waist but Cruise gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mix off to one side.
Cruise has managed to clinch.
Cruise avoiding damage.
Mix breaks the clinch.
Cruise misses with a low kick.
Cruise shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice sprawl there from Cruise as Mix shoots in.
No luck for Mix with that takedown attempt.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dave Mix wasn't active enough on the ground.
Mix uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cruise.

Mix drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Mix has Cruise up against the cage in a clinch.
Cruise is trying to pull guard but Mix has him pressed against the cage.
Cruise jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mix walks away with a smile on his face. Cruise gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Cruise tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mix is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cruise sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mix has eaten all the pies!
Cruise changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mix tries to avoid it but Cruise manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mix to the ground. Mix escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devon Cruise. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cruise misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cruise dives in and grabs Mix's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mix pushes down on Cruise's head and hops out.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mix manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cruise wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mix.

Mix sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Cruise is squirming around, avoiding Mix's attempts to control the action.

Mix wants to finish this one by submission but Cruise is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mix.

Cruise wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mix.

Mix thowing shots but they're missing.

Mix is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Mix thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Cruise is looking to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Mix showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Mix tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cruise swivels and escapes.
Dave Mix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mix stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mix wants it to stay on the feet.
Mix wants to clinch.
Mix drives through and clinches with Cruise against the cage.
Mix has Cruise pushed against the cage.
Mix lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Cruise tries a knee to the head but Mix blocks it.
Mix is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Mix content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Mix has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cruise uses from the top position.

Mix breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mix looks for a takedown but Cruise sprawls well.
Dave Mix is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mix wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Mix counters by clinching up.

Cruise wants to break the clinch but can't.
Devon Cruise has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mix tries to score a body lock takedown but Cruise shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that's the end of the fight!
Dave Mix comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mix has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
