PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Argivas Kerenzikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Trikkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Argivas Kerenzikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick Trikkle!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerenzikov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Trikkle.
Kerenzikov thows a body shot but no joy.

Kerenzikov moves into the clinch successfully.
Kerenzikov slowing the pace effectively.
Kerenzikov lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Trikkle backwards.
Trikkle misses with a knee strike.

Kerenzikov manages to break the clinch.
Kerenzikov misses with a jab, cross combination.

Kerenzikov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kerenzikov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kerenzikov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kerenzikov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kerenzikov scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Trikkle to see if he's OK.

Trikkle is trying to get back to his feet.

Kerenzikov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trikkle has escaped the position, nice work there.

Trikkle is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kerenzikov asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Kerenzikov moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Trikkle takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Trikkle takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Kerenzikov has knee on belly and moves into mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Argivas Kerenzikov dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Kerenzikov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Trikkle wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Kerenzikov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Trikkle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kerenzikov passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Trikkle!
Kerenzikov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kerenzikov is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Trikkle can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Trikkle is rocked!
Kerenzikov postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Trikkle badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Kerenzikov around the waist but Kerenzikov pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Kerenzikov is the winner by TKO! Kerenzikov jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Argivas Kerenzikov!
