The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaver gets the takedown into side control.
Lowe wants to control but Shaver postures up.
Lowe tries to bench press Shaver off him but Shaver keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shaver is trying to trip Lowe. He has hold of a leg but Lowe is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Shaver persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nicky Lowe will probably get the nod.
