Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Lav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jcb Bowens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Lav!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jcb Bowens!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowens tries to clinch but Lav is having none of it.
Lav tries to clinch up but Bowens circles away and keeps his distance.
Lav fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bowens is looking to clinch.
Bowens scores with a jab to the head.
The fighters circling - Bowens throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Bowens shoots in and drives through. Lav sprawls well.

Bowens moves into the clinch.
Bowens changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lav fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Lav has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bowens after a bit of a struggle.
Lav stalls.
Lav wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bowens has him pressed against the cage.

Bowens breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bowens throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lav closes the distance and clinches up with Bowens, looking for a takedown. Lav pushes Bowens against the cage but Bowens circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lav pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Bowens wants to control but Lav is keeping him busy.
Lav trying to hold on to Bowens's head to control him but Bowens postures up.
Bowens blocks the strikes from Lav.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lav looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Lav is looking to escape.
Lav missing with punches from the bottom.
Lav desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Lav has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lav tries to roll over but Bowens keeps him under control.
Lav has hold of Bowens's hands but Bowens slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bowens looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lav with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bowens takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Bowens seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bowens lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bowens.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jcb Bowens dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bowens lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lav circles away quickly and effectively.
Michael Lav is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bowens drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lav looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bowens is one step ahead there.
Bowens wants to control from the top but Lav keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lav looks for a takedown but Bowens sprawls well.
A slow jab from Bowens misses its intended target.

Bowens fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lav to the ground. Bowens is now in Lav's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bowens not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lav manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bowens tries to buck Lav off but he can't manage it.

Lav is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Bowens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lav avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lav misses with a takedown attempt

and Bowens counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bowens stops Lav from standing up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bowens's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Lav can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bowens controls the pace.

Bowens postures up and lands a big shot to Lav's brow.

Bowens is taking a breather. Lav says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jcb Bowens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Lav fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lav fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bowens is out of range.
Lav looks to land a combination but Bowens avoids it well.

Bowens closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lav quickly recovers to half guard.
Lav is staying active underneath Bowens, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lav has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bowens is working away from the top position though.
Lav looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lav changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bowens tries to avoid it but Lav manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bowens to the ground. Bowens escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lav shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bowens closes the distance and pushes Lav back into the cage.
Lav wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bowens keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lav's efforts to push away.

Bowens works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Bowens looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lav moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bowens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lav moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lav shoots in looking for a takedown but Bowens manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lav's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Bowens has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
