The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magaba tries to move into range but Washington moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Washington dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Washington fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Magaba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Mookie Magaba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magaba tries to clinch but Washington is having none of it.
Magaba takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Washington leaves Magaba with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Samuel Washington will probably get the nod.
