Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killeri shoots in for a double leg but Mies sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Killeri postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

and Mies counters with a three punch combo that has Killeri backing up. Killeri nods at Mies to acknowledge the strikes.
Nice takedown defense from Mies. No joy for Killeri on that attempt.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Killeri with the ground and pound but Mies regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Killeri is trying to control the action in half guard but Mies is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Killeri might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mies kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Killeri stalling away here and it's allowed Mies to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Killeri works over Mies with some ground and pound from guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Killeri closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mies is trying to escape the position but Killeri is controlling the position.
Killeri passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mies!

Mies takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Killeri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mies. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mies's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Killeri throws some wild stikes that Mies manages to avoid easily.
Mies avoids a series of strikes thrown by Killeri.
Poor strikes thrown by Killeri there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Killeri wants to control but instead Mies manages to regain half guard.
Killeri thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mies's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Klaus Killeri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Horrible takedown by Killeri or perhaps it was just good defense by Mies which made him look bad.

and Killeri counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mies!

Mies tries to lock up and control but Killeri gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Killeri cracks Mies with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
