Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clifton Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eli Smith!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Barnes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Smith shoots in but Barnes avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Smith shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smith showed some decent athleticism there.
Barnes is pressing down on Smith's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Smith throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smith's guard.

Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barnes defends well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barnes trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Smith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barnes defends it easily.
Barnes wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Barnes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Smith has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Barnes is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Smith.
Barnes tries to advance to mount but can't.

Barnes stands up and beckons Smith to his feet.

Smith dodges the punch combination from Barnes.
Smith walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Eli Smith has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
Barnes slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Clifton Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Smith.

and Barnes counters with a left to the body.
Smith looks winded!
Barnes connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Barnes lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barnes jabs Smith to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Barnes lands a big uppercut and Smith crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Smith looks OK. Barnes waves Smith back to his feet!

Smith is rocked!
Barnes lands with a good body shot.
Clifton Barnes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Barnes cracks Smith's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Smith slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Barnes can do further damage! This one is done, son!
