Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Omar Gant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammer Bammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gant comes to the cage accompanied by Snoop Dogg - Murder was the Case. Hammer Bammer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gant shoots in but no luck this time.
Gant stuffs the takedown.
Omar Gant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bammer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bammer.
Bammer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Gant breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bammer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gant has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Bammer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bammer wants it to stay on the feet.
Bammer is looking to clinch.
Bammer moves out of range as Gant throws a body kick.
Gant throws a chopping leg kick but Bammer manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Bammer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bammer showed some decent athleticism there.
Bammer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gant keeps working.

Bammer seems to be working for a kimura but Gant defends the submission attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gant has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bammer is working away from the top position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bammer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gant does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bammer closes the distance and pushes Gant back into the cage.
Bammer misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Gant.
Gant blocks an elbow strike from Bammer.
Gant drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bammer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bammer lands with a nice combination. Gant backs away looking to recover.
Bammer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gant tries to avoid it but Bammer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gant to the ground. Gant escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gant has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bammer is trying to keep an underhook but Gant manages to get the takedown into half guard.
