Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Petterson.
Petterson misses with a low kick as Slayter jumps back.
Slayter throws a poor cross that misses
and Petterson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Petterson dives in and grabs Slayter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Slayter pushes down on Petterson's head and hops out.
Petterson shoots in but Slayter avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Petterson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Petterson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Petterson slips under a jab.
Slayter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Petterson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Petterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slayter looks to throw the jab but Petterson is out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Petterson throws a wild body kick that Slayter sees coming a mile off.

Petterson closes the distance and clinches.
Petterson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Slayter lands an uppercut.

Petterson blocks a body shot from Slayter.

Petterson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Slayter blocks it with crossed arms.

Slayter pushes Petterson against the cage. Slayter is working some dirty boxing. Slayter pushes off with a quick right hook! Petterson goes down! Petterson tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Slayter moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
