Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Sergyienko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaco Shaco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaco Shaco is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Igor Sergyienko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaco Shaco!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sergyienko shoots in looking for a takedown. Shaco tries to sprawl out of it but Sergyienko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shaco manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sergyienko is fighting off a takedown attempt but Shaco is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sergyienko to the mat. Sergyienko regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Shaco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

You get the feeling that Sergyienko really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Shaco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sergyienko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shaco manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sergyienko on his heels. He'll look to pass Sergyienko's guard now, I'm sure.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sergyienko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shaco tries to avoid it but Sergyienko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shaco to the ground. Shaco escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Shaco might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sergyienko kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sergyienko's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Shaco remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Jaco Shaco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shaco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
