Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Scapolo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Teixeira bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Glover Teixeira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Scapolo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Teixeira's guard.

Scapolo stands and steps away. Teixeira gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Teixeira clobbers Scapolo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Teixeira swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Scapolo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Scapolo is nestled in close to Teixeira, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Teixeira is trying to stand.
Scapolo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Scapolo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Scapolo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Teixeira is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Scapolo scores with a couple of nice shots.

Teixeira is looking to get back to is feet but Scapolo passes into side control.
The referee asks Scapolo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Scapolo prefers to stall for the moment though.

Scapolo decides to stand back up. Scapolo steps back and let's Teixeira get back to his feet.
Glover Teixeira is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Scapolo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Teixeira napping and manages to drive through into side control!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scapolo is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Teixeira is trying to escape and Scapolo transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Teixeira is forced to tap! Nice work there by Scapolo! Very nice indeed!
