Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gay Lussac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Schofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lussac's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sadly Ever After by Innerphoria. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schofer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Schofer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lussac misses with a body shot.
Lussac sizes up Schofer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Lussac throws a right and a left that both miss.
Schofer takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Lussac wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schofer, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lussac is working for a kimura but Schofer is defending it quite comfortably.

Lussac is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Schofer is just riding it out for now. Lussac eventually gives up the hold.
Schofer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Schofer.

Lussac stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schofer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lussac thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lussac is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schofer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Schofer manages to get back to half guard.

Lussac is working for a submission of some sort.
Schofer tries to get to full guard but Lussac has control of the leg.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lussac stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nice uppercut lands for Lussac. That snapped Schofer's head back.
Lussac swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Schofer.

Lussac misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lussac throws a series of punches but Schofer avoids them all with ease.
Lussac will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lussac tries to bum rush Schofer with a series of wild strikes but Schofer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Schofer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Schofer is still on wobbly legs! Can Lussac finish him?
Lussac cracks Schofer on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Schofer falls backwards against the cage. Lussac follows up with more strikes that drop Schofer to his knees. Lussac keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Schofer! This one is all over!
