The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sauvage clinches up against the cage.

Sauvage manages to break the clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sauvage.
Sauvage throws a hook but Schultes blocks it.
Sauvage jabs Schultes to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Sauvage wants to clinch.

and Schultes counters with a low kick, right behind Sauvage 's knee.

Schultes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schultes lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sauvage quite badly. Sauvage pulls Schultes in close trying to recover. Schultes postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sauvage on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sauvage doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aurelius Schultes!
A very excited looking Aurelius Schultes rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
