Alves kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is HU - Up in Smoke. Aguero has chosen Argentinian Magic as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aguero closes the distance and pushes Alves back into the cage.

Aguero misses with an elbow over the top.

Alves's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A clash of legs there as Aguero blocks the low kick.
Aguero throws a solid leg kick but Alves takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Aguero.
Alves misses with a few strikes there.

Aguero rushes Alves and presses him up against the cage.
Aguero keeps control of Alves as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Alves is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Aguero has Alves pressed against the cage, preventing Alves from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
With the fighters up against the cage, Aguero throws an elbow but misses.
Alves is trying to break the clinch but Aguero is controlling him.

Aguero goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alves throws a series of punches but Aguero avoids them all with ease.
Aguero is still on wobbly legs! Can Alves finish him?
Alves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Aguero.
Alves moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Aguero drops his hands momentarily and Alves needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Aguero just on the top of the head. Aguero drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Aguero - he's done!
