The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez shoots in looking for a takedown. Dunn tries to sprawl out of it but Gutierrez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dunn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dunn ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Gutierrez's jaw. Gutierrez's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Dunn does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

After the fight, John Dunn was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
