The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMichaels throws a right and a left that Castillo avoids nicely.
Castillo throws a right and a left that McMichaels avoids nicely.
Horrible takedown by McMichaels or perhaps it was just good defense by Castillo which made him look bad.
McMichaels throws a leg kick but Castillo sees it coming and moves out of range.
Castillo slips a jab from McMichaels.
Sloppy strikes from Castillo. Those never looked like landing.
Castillo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McMichaels stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McMichaels misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Castillo lands with a nice body punch.

and Castillo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Castillo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McMichaels manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Castillo fails in his attempt to clinch.

McMichaels misses with a combination
and Castillo counters with a nice uppercut.
McMichaels shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Castillo as he jumps to the side.
Castillo tries to close the distance and clinch but McMichaels swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Danny Castillo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Castillo connects with the punch.

It looks like Jason McMichaels has been cut.

letting Castillo counter with a right hand.

McMichaels is rocked!
Danny Castillo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason McMichaels.
Castillo tries to clinch but McMichaels is having none of it.
McMichaels throws a wild hook but Castillo just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! McMichaels gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Castillo raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
