The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujiwara bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fujiwara wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Montgomery, who protects the arm well.
Fujiwara is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Montgomery is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Montgomery wants to get back to his feet but Fujiwara drags him back down.
Montgomery is looking to reverse the position.
Fujiwara looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Fujiwara is breathing heavily.
Fujiwara is looking to take a break and control but Montgomery is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Montgomery throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Montgomery lands a high kick!
It looks like Funaki Fujiwara has been cut.
Fujiwara shoots in for a double leg but Montgomery sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Montgomery is looking to clinch.
A head kick by Montgomery - that's a beauty! Fujiwara is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Montgomery can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
