Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kiedis is trying to maintain a safe position but Ruez gets an underhook and turns Kiedis into the cage.
Kiedis content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Ruez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kiedis walks away with a smile on his face. Ruez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Kiedis counters by moving into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kiedis.
Kiedis is pressed up against the cage. Ruez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kiedis down to the mat. Kiedis avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kiedis shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruez tries to sprawl out of it but Kiedis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ruez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kiedis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ruez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kiedis defends it nicely.
Anthony Kiedis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elvin Ruez.

and Ruez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
