Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boss Quatro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Hobbs!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quatro moves forwards but Hobbs connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hobbs misses with a two punch combination.
Quatro closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hobbs to the mat! Hobbs manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quatro preventing the sweep.
Quatro postures up.
Quatro loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Quatro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hobbs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Quatro has managed to get both his arms back between Hobbs's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hobbs looking for a triangle here. Quatro is fighting it but it looks tight! Hobbs pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Quatro is tapping out - this one is all over!
