Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donald Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sopre Nyedeme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cross's entrance music is Exhibit C. A fine choice. Donald Cross has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sopre Nyedeme!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyedeme is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cross.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cross enables Nyedeme to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cross manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Cross is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nyedeme is controlling him.

Cross wriggles free and stands up.

Nyedeme closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nyedeme lands in his opponent's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cross wants to get back to his feet but Nyedeme is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Nyedeme is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Nyedeme stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cross swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cross kicks Nyedeme off and gets back to his feet.
Nyedeme tries to close the distance and clinch but Cross swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nyedeme will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nyedeme shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nyedeme was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cross is trying to stand but he's just given Nyedeme his back.

Cross is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Cross darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cross closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Cross throws a series of punches but Nyedeme moves out of range.
Cross slaps away a takedown attempt from Nyedeme, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cross lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Cross is breathing heavily.

Cross tries to buck Nyedeme off but Nyedeme takes his back!

Cross is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Nyedeme is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Cross defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Cross is trying to get back to his feet but Nyedeme has full control of the position and if anything, Cross has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Nyedeme has managed to slip his arm under Cross's chin. This could be all over... yep, Cross is tapping out! Submission win for Nyedeme.
