PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Davi Louback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sick Jacken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Louback might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJwkHilu3hk. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacken tries to keep at a distance but Louback has taken the fight into the clinch.
Louback wants a takedown.
Jacken tries to stall but Louback uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Louback can't break the clinch.
Jacken drops down looking for an ankle pick but Louback pulls his leg out and moves away.
Louback misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Louback throws a push kick but Jacken slaps the foot to one side.

Jacken bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Louback wants to control but Jacken postures up.
Jacken should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Jacken is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Louback has escaped the position, nice work there.
Louback tries to buck Jacken off but Jacken is having none of it.

Louback is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jacken off and has taken his back!

Louback doesn't have the hooks in and Jacken manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Louback has his foot on Jacken's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jacken works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jacken wants to control from the top but Louback keeps moving.
Jacken might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Louback kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jacken punishing his opponent with strikes.
Jacken is landing with some decent strikes but Louback is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Jacken wants to stand but Louback is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Jacken has eaten all the pies!

Jacken goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Louback turns into him and now he's in Jacken's guard.
Jacken is breathing heavily.

Jacken has control of Louback's left arm, preventing Louback from doing any damage.
Louback has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jacken bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Louback's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jacken wanted to stand there but Louback had control of the position.
Louback has control of Jacken's left arm, preventing Jacken from doing any damage.
Jacken wants to control from the top but Louback keeps moving.

Louback has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jacken off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Louback feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Louback will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jacken is trying to control the position but Louback postures up.

That's time! Louback's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Louback closes the distance but Jacken moves to the side

and Jacken counters with a single leg into guard. Louback didn't expect that.

Jacken has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Louback works to full guard.

Louback pulls Jacken in close to prevent any damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jacken slips nicely into half guard.

Jacken is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Louback defends it well.
Jacken wants to free his trapped foot but Louback is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jacken wants to lay and pray for a moment but Louback keeps working.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jacken lands a nice short elbow.

Jacken decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Louback drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Louback jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jacken is looking to stand up but Louback isn't so interested in that idea.

Jacken had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Louback is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jacken Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Louback's back instead.

Jacken doesn't have the hooks in and Louback manages to turn into his guard.

Jacken is staying active underneath Louback, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
