Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas keeps Vilas Boas at a distance using the push kick.
Vilas Boas with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Thomas to score with a decent uppercut.
Vilas Boas throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Thomas on the side of the head.

Thomas gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Thomas lands a right hand that snaps the head of Vilas Boas backwards.

It looks like Lucas Vilas Boas has been cut.

Thomas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vilas Boas manages to avoid it.

Thomas lands a big head kick that sends Vilas Boas tumbling to the mat! Thomas takes a step backwards and waves Vilas Boas back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Vilas Boas looks to land a left hand but Thomas moved out of range nicely.

Thomas throws a head kick but Vilas Boas moves out of range.
Vilas Boas throws a lazy right hand but Thomas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vilas Boas seems to have recovered his senses.
Thomas fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Vilas Boas on the side of the head.
Thomas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Thomas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Vilas Boas tests Thomas's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Thomas rushes Vilas Boas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Thomas stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Vilas Boas fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Thomas lands with a short shot to the head.
Vilas Boas tries a knee to the head but Thomas blocks it.
Vilas Boas throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Thomas blocks it with crossed arms.

Thomas has Vilas Boas pressed against the cage, preventing Vilas Boas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Vilas Boas wants to get back to striking at distance but Thomas won't allow it.
Vilas Boas is trying to break the clinch but Thomas is controlling him.
A nice left hand lands by Thomas.
Vilas Boas tries a knee to the head but Thomas blocks it.
