Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Troy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Fux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Troy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Luiz Fux!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fux gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Troy to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Fux looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Troy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fux is proving hard to escape from.

Fux keeping full guard, as Troy tries to pass.
Fux has Troy pulled in close to control his posture.
Troy trying to control but Fux is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Troy just wasn't active enough.
Troy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Fux manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fux shoots in looking for a takedown. Troy tries to sprawl out of it but Fux keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Troy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fux gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Troy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fux!

Troy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fux is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Fux is desperately trying to improve his position but Troy has a good base and remains in mount.
Fux holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Troy tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Troy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fux is looking to escape.
Fux keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Troy throwing strikes here but Fux is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Troy wants to free his trapped foot but Fux is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Fux makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fux.
Fux is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Troy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fux's guard.
Fux is trying to keep Troy in close.
Fux bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Troy's guard.
Fux stands and throws Troy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fux tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fux has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Troy dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Troy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fux on his heels. He'll look to pass Fux's guard now, I'm sure.
Fux is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Troy wants to pass the guard but Fux is keeping the position.
Fux not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Troy wants to control from the top but Fux keeps moving.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Troy here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Fux jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Troy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Troy and Fux has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Troy will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Fux dives in and scores a takedown into Troy's guard.

Fux stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Troy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
John Troy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fux is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Troy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fux!

Fux wants to hold on but Troy pushes him away.
Fux manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Troy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Fux has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Troy is working away from the top position though.

Troy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fux is just riding it out for now. Troy eventually gives up the hold.
Fux moves into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fux is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fux not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Troy stopping the sweep attempt from Fux.
Fux is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
Luiz Fux comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Troy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
