PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zbermat Serlal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Kemp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serlal comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zbermat Serlal!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adam Kemp!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serlal takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Serlal ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kemp keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Adam Kemp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kemp throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Serlal sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Serlal misses with a wild combination.
Serlal scores with a hook to the body. Kemp takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Serlal shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kemp is trying to defend but Serlal finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kemp is pressing down on Serlal's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Serlal is fighting to break Kemp's control of his arms but Kemp is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kemp looking to hit a scissor sweep but Serlal is one step ahead there.

Serlal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kemp, up you get!

Kemp lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kemp throws a half hearted mid kick.
Serlal slips under a jab.
Kemp is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kemp scores with the left hand. Serlal knows he should have avoided that one.

Serlal throws a series of punches but Kemp moves out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kemp tries a head kick but it misses.

Kemp jabs Serlal to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kemp lands a nice hook to Serlal's body. Serlal takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kemp fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Serlal manages to avoid it.
Serlal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kemp walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Serlal checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kemp misses with an attempted mid kick.
A left lands for Serlal.
Kemp throws a right and a left that Serlal avoids nicely.
Serlal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kemp. Serlal does a little dance to reset his feet.

Serlal drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kemp looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Kemp is trying to control the position but Serlal postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Serlal is looking to stand up but Kemp won't let him.
Serlal prevents Kemp from getting back to his feet.
Serlal wants to get up but he can't break Kemp's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kemp pulls Serlal in close to his closed guard and prevents Serlal from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Adam Kemp.
Kemp misses with a shot to the body
and Serlal makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Serlal takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Serlal cracks Kemp with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Serlal misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Kemp to counter with a crisp jab.
Kemp lands a nice shot that snaps Serlal's head back.
Good leg kick by Kemp there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kemp lands a jab to Serlal's midsection.
A telegraphed right hand from Kemp misses the target.
A swing and a miss from Serlal.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Serlal misses with a left hand
and Kemp counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Kemp lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kemp scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Serlal connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kemp misses the shot to the body.
Serlal chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kemp can pounce on him.
Kemp throws a front kick aimed at Serlal's knee but Serlal avoids it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kemp. Serlal does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kemp is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Serlal rather than just go for the knockout.
Serlal listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Serlal lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kemp lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Serlal is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Serlal cracks Kemp with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Serlal digs a good body shot into Kemp's ribs.
Kemp swings for the body but Serlal moves out of range.
Kemp scoring well with a low kick there.
A head kick misses from Kemp.
Kemp lands with an overhand left.

Serlal misses with a hook. Kemp ducked under it nicely.

and Kemp counters with a nice body shot.
Serlal cracks Kemp with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kemp ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kemp throws a nice outside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kemp just misses with a punch to the body.

Serlal takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Serlal connects with a single shot there.
Kemp lands a nice hook to Serlal's body. Serlal takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kemp steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Serlal.
An inside leg kick lands from Kemp.
Kemp lands a head shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Serlal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Serlal with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kemp to score with a decent uppercut.
Kemp lands a nice looking body shot.

Kemp lands a big right hand that sends Serlal crashing to the mat! Kemp stays standing though and waves Serlal back to his feet!


Serlal is rocked!
Kemp throws a pinpoint strike between Serlal's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Serlal crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Kemp scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Adam Kemp!

During a confident post fight interview, Adam Kemp thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
