PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Iam Getcha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Catfish Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iam Getcha had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Catfish Davis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 32 - 0, fighting out of London, Iam Getcha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Catfish Davis!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis avoids the head kick by Getcha.
Getcha takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Getcha throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Davis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Getcha's guard now.
Davis works over Getcha with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Getcha manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Davis is trying to stand up.
Getcha with shots to the head and body - Davis looks very uncomfortable down there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Getcha throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Getcha landing shots from mount.
Getcha won't let Davis get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Getcha trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Getcha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Poor strikes thrown by Getcha there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

BOOM! Getcha connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Davis is rocked!
Getcha postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Davis out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Getcha goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
