Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Riddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riddle has chosen Hatsikidee! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Riddle!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dean fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Riddle sprawls well initially but Dean persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dean drops an elbow to the side of Riddle's head.
Riddle wants to get back to full guard.
Riddle manages to get to full guard.
Riddle keeping moving, preventing Dean from controlling successfully.
Riddle working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dean.

Riddle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dean is aware though and is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Riddle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dean has managed to get both his arms back between Riddle's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Max Dean has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dean stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dean wants it to stay on the feet.
Riddle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Riddle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Riddle lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Dean misses with a straight left.
Riddle scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dean doesn't seem bothered though.
Dean attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Dean takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Riddle shoots in but no luck this time.
Max Dean is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Riddle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Riddle shoots in for a takedown but Dean shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

It looks like Tom Riddle has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Dean. Those never looked like landing.
Dean throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Riddle.

and Riddle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Dean swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Dean throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Riddle was covering up waiting for the punch and Dean finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Riddle has Dean pulled in close to control his posture.
Riddle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Riddle stands and throws Dean's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Riddle working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Riddle tries to score with some ground and pound. Dean controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Riddle tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Riddle throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Dean works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Riddle looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dean has a hand on Riddle's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Riddle takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Dean is squirming around, avoiding Riddle's attempts to control the action.

Riddle cracks Dean with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Dean keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dean is in a horrible position here. Riddle smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Tom Riddle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Dean's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Well Riddle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
